I want to know about Microsoft Enterprise Library 5.0 . Can u plz tell me that, is it good to use various modules of that Enterprise Lib rather than developing our own modules for caching, encryption, data access, logging etc? I am a beginner to Microsoft Ent Lib and simply want to know how efficient or effective that Ent Lib is ?

VBForums Visual Basic API ExtractIcon and DrawIcon Sep 13th, 2004, 06:32 AM #1 Thread Starter Addicted Member Thread Starter--> ExtractIcon and DrawIcon I was wondering if there is a way to add an icon to a listview, treeview etc without having to pull an icon from an imagelist? To get icons out of dll's and exe's, I do use ExtractIcon and draw the extracted icon into a picture box with the the same backcolor as the treeview/listview im going to use. I then use the picturebox's .Image property to add the icon to an imagelist and then add it to the treeview or whatever I am using. It gives the same effect, but I was just wondering if there was a way to use the icon straight from ExtractIcon or from the Long used to call the ExtractIcon functionThis is what I currently do.
