Map features two opposing nations combating each other. Worth noting is that not every nation will oppose every other nation, nor will every nation see combat in every theatre; for instance, Australia never fights Finland and neither appear in the West European theatre.Maps of Forgotten Hope 21940Flavion • Stonne • La Horgne1941Bardia • Battle of Keren • Siege of Giarabub • Siege of Tobruk • Mount Olympus • Invasion of Crete • The Battle for Sfakia • Sidi Rezegh1942Motovskiy Bay • Gazala • Fall of Tobruk • Mersa Matruh • Alam Halfa • Operation Hyacinth • El Alamein • Operation Supercharge • Medjez El Bab • Operation Mars1943Sidi Bou Zid • Mareth Line • Tunis • Lenino1944Pointe du Hoc • Gold Beach • Omaha Beach • Pegasus • Port en Bessin • Purple Heart Lane • Anctoville • Villers-Bocage • Ramelle Neuville • St. Lo Breakthrough • Sammatus • Tali • Studienka • Ihantala • Lebisey • Operation Goodwood • Operation Cobra • Operation Luttich • Operation Totalize • Ogledow • Falaise Pocket • Arad • Battle of Brest • Hurtgen Forest • Dukla Pass • Vossenack • La Hardt Forest • Eppeldorf • St. Vith • Bastogne • Meuse River1945Seelow HeightsNations of Forgotten Hope 2AlliesAustralia • Canada • France • Great Britain • New Zealand • Poland • USA • USSRAxisFinland • Germany • ItalyNeutralCiviliansClasses and Gadgets[]Forgotten Hope 2 expands on the class system present in previous Battlefield games; each class is more specialised to their own role with a specific set of weapons and gadgets, adding further to the teamwork-driven gameplay - a Rifleman can perform well at mid to long ranges, while an Assault typically has access to both automatic weapons and grenades, while only Engineers can lay and disarm anti-tank mines. Forgotten Hope 2 (also known as FH2) is a modification for DICE's Battlefield 2. It was released in 2007 as a sequel to the 2003 modification Forgotten Hope for DICE's Battlefield 1942.Overview[]Forgotten Hope 2 is set in the Second World War in the West European, East European and North African theatres. Compared to its source material, it takes a far more realistic view of combat - infantry are far more fragile, with most weapons killing instantly with a single round; fallen soldiers cannot be revived from death and armoured vehicles are invulnerable to small arms and hand grenades. As with the mainline Battlefield games, Forgotten Hope 2 not only encourages but rather demands teamwork - without close coordination between the various classes of infantry, transportation vehicles, armoured vehicles, artillery and aircraft, players will quickly find themselves defeated. Contrariwise, a well-coordinated team is capable of claiming victory from even the most difficult of circumstances.Weapons and Vehicles[]As with its source materials, Forgotten Hope 2 features a wide array of weaponry - including knives, submachine guns, sniper rifles, explosives and more - and vehicles - including scout cars, tanks, aircraft and naval vessels. Both weapons and vehicles are specific to each nation and are not necessarily identical: while one nation may have access to anti-tank rifles, another may instead have handheld explosives. Additionally, many vehicles are 'teamlocked', meaning that they can only be accessed by players of the team that owns them (for instance, a German soldier cannot operate an American tank).Weapons of Forgotten Hope 2Close CombatBare Hands • Coltello Modello 39 • 'Coupe-Coupe' Mle 1916 • Couteau Mle 1916 • Entrenchment Tool • Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife • Fliegerkappmesser • HJ Messer • Infanteriemesser 42 • Kenttälapio • Luftwaffe Messer • M3 Fighting Knife • M1910 Shovel • M1918 Trench Knife • M1941 Army Knife • Pelle-bêche Mle 1879 • Pelle-pioche M1909 • Pitchfork • Puukko • S84/98 III Bajonett • Sabre Mle 1822 • Spaten • Vanghetta Modello 1907 • VesuriPistolsBeretta Modello 34 • Browning Hi-Power • Lahti L-35 • Luger Pistole 08 • M1911A1 Colt • M1917 Colt • Nagant M1895 [Nagant M1895 BraMit] • PA Ruby Mle 15 • PA SACM Mle 35A • Pistolet Wz. 35 Vis • Revolver Mle 1892 • Sauer Pistole 38H • TT-33 • Walther Pistole 38 • Webley Mk. The Vesuri is a Finnish close combat weapon in Forgotten Hope 2. A similar concept to the machete, the Vesuri was issued to machine gun crews to aid in the preparation of firing positions.Overview[]The Vesuri is a curved machete, with a distinct hook-shaped blade, attached to a simple wooden handle. The heavy curve is intended to prevent damage to the blade if the weapon is accidentally swung into the ground. When used, the Vesuri is swung to deliver a heavy blow from either right or left. It is capable of instantly killing enemy infantry; however, this of course requires the user to be within melee range of the enemy - a hazardous situation at best. As such, the Vesuri should be treated as a weapon of last resort, as should all melee weapons in Forgotten Hope 2.Gallery[]An in-game screenshot of the Vesuri on Sammatus.Attacking.See Also[]Weapons of Comparable Role:Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife (Australia / Canada / Great Britain / New Zealand counterpart)Entrenchment Tool (Canada / Great Britain / Poland counterpart)'Coupe-Coupe' Mle 1916 / Couteau Mle 1916 / Pelle-pioche M1909 / Sabre Mle 1822 (France counterparts)M1910 Shovel / M3 Fighting Knife (France / USA counterparts)Pelle-bêche Mle 1879 (captured Finland alternative / France / USSR counterpart)M1941 Army Knife (Poland / USSR counterpart)M1918 Trench Knife (USA counterpart)Kenttälapio / Puukko (Finland alternatives)Fliegerkappmesser / HJ Messer / Infanteriemesser 42 / Luftwaffe Messer / S84/98 III Bajonett / Spaten (Germany counterparts)Coltello Modello 39 / Vanghetta Modello 1907 (Italy counterparts)Bare Hands / Pitchfork (Civilian counterparts)Wikipedia Article:BillhookFinland - WeaponsClose CombatKenttälapio • Kenttälapio* • Puukko • VesuriPistolsLahti L-35 • M/35 Beretta* • M/35 FN 'GP' • Parabellum M/23*Submachine GunsSuomi M/31 [Suomi M/31 SJR]RiflesUkko-Pekka M/39Sniper RiflesMosin-Nagant M91/30 PU*Light Machine GunsLahti-Saloranta M/26 • M/27 Emma* [Tankki-Emma]*Machine GunsMaxim M/09-09Anti-Tank88 Rakh/B 54 'Panssarikauhu'* • Panssarinyrkki F2*GrenadesMunakäsikranaatti M/32 [Munakäsikranaatti M/32 (Oval)] • Munakäsikranaatti M/41 • Varsikäsikranaatti M/32
